The federal buildings owned by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) serve as vital hubs to support the daily operations of key federal agencies, including the FBI, IRS, and federal courts. Spanning from historic courthouses to high-rise offices, twelve of these facilities were due for critical infrastructure upgrades to improve efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort.

To meet this challenge, GSA Region 4 turned to Southern Company Federal Services and ultimately partnered with PowerSecure.

Our team of engineers and energy experts implemented 96 customized energy conservation measures across twelve sites. Completed within a 24-month design and construction timeline, the project was funded through the energy savings it generated—without disrupting daily operations for the agencies inside.

  • Electrical: 284 premium-efficiency transformers
